Single purpose
Protect selected documents before they reach a supported AI website.
What it does
Intercept
The extension stops the original file at the supported website's upload control.
Sanitize locally
The Chrome extension extracts text, replaces supported sensitive values, and creates Markdown locally in your browser.
Verify and release
A final local check must pass before the new Markdown file is attached. Failed batches remain blocked.
Current compatibility
- Browser
- Google Chrome
- Protected websites
- ChatGPT and Claude web
- Documents
- Digital PDF, DOCX, XLSX, TXT, and CSV
- Installation
- Chrome extension only; no companion application required
Your data boundary
- Files are processed locally inside the Chrome extension.
- The original document is not sent to RedactDock's cloud for sanitization.
- The extension does not read your prompts, conversations, or AI responses.
- Only newly created sanitized Markdown is released to the supported AI website after local verification.
- Your licensed email, random installation identifier, confirmation code, and session data are sent to RedactDock's licensing service over HTTPS.
Designed to fail closed
If a document is unsupported, too large, damaged, encrypted, requires OCR, or fails verification, the extension blocks the batch instead of silently passing the original file through. No automated detector can guarantee that every sensitive value will be identified, so users should review sanitized output before relying on it.
Paid license and activation
RedactDock is free to install, but document sanitization requires an active paid RedactDock subscription. RedactDock—not Google—is the seller. After purchase, enter your licensed email and the six-digit confirmation code sent to that address. Each license permits one active Chrome installation. View plans and purchase, or visit Extension Support for activation help and device resets.
Independent product
RedactDock is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Microsoft. ChatGPT, Claude, Chrome, and Edge are marks of their respective owners.
